Day 14
While the others argue about the rules, Dani and Monique have been going through their own private hell, not only in regard to matters at The Block but also the daily newspaper reports. And now, to top it off, they have a death in the family. It's an absolute struggle…
Time spent away from The Block made them see first-hand the real impact this has had on their families. This causes them the most pain and they are now faced with the most difficult decision of all.
Dani and Monique have decided to leave The Block.
Countdown to room reveal Even though they've decided to leave, there is something they have to do before they go. They're determined to finish the first room. They want to prove something to themselves and to everyone else … they came here to renovate and that's what they're going to do: dialup

They have also decided not to tell the other couples, as this will make the leaving that much harder. They will leave them all personal farewell letters, but come Sunday, they will be gone.
Day 16 It's their last day on The Block and Dani's 30th birthday — and also, they hope, the last day of reading about his past in the paper.
But enough about that, it's on with the room, which is coming along perfectly so far. They have produced a fine-looking room and couldn't be prouder.
Before they turn off the lights and leave, Dani makes sure the upstairs couples don't need a hand with their rooms. With that, it is time to shut the door to their unit and drive away from The Block.
