They are planning to have the kitchen ready on Sunday for room-reveal, but are they going to make it? They are spending a lot more than they wanted to on the kitchen … they are counting on this win.

Monday, day 39
While they head off for another long week at work, Matt and Jane have invested a lot of their budget on Trent the builder, who they import from Melbourne each week.

With the budget on everyone's lips this week, they know that the kitchen is taking a big chunk of theirs. The budget is the least of their concerns, as the kitchen actually doesn't look like it will be ready on time at all. Even Dave, the site foreman, has his doubts. "There's a lot of work to do, I don't think he's got any chance of getting it finished."

If renovating, working and planning a wedding isn't enough for our Melbourne couple, Jane is writing a book. Actually, she is working on nine books and she is on fire. Matt considers himself as her muse and is extremely proud of his wife-to-be. As she meets with the publicist, all things are going to plan for her book and she can't wait to surprise her gorgeous man.

Getting the middle room ready
When Jamie Durie does a walk around to see all the couple's rooms and how they are getting on, he is gobsmacked at how much work is needed on this kitchen. "You've got to be kidding me. Guys, there's only a few days to go, what are you thinking?"

Matt's reply to Jamie is, "see you on Sunday for a roast"… But will they really get this kitchen up in time for Sunday? dialup | broadband

Fun in the sun
For a bit of fun and to continue the competition, Jamie Durie has challenged our couples to a game of beach volleyball. There is a catch … if they win, they each get to keep $1000 from their budget. If they lose, they have to each donate $1000 from their budget to Jamie's preferred charity. Well congratulations to Jamie! He has beaten our couples and has kindly donated $4000 to the Children's Cancer Institution of Australia: dialup | broadband
