The budget was hurting but now, thanks to some challenges, they have an extra $3500 to play with.
With the kitchen done, they need to work very quickly on the living area, as well as the courtyard.
Five rooms down … one to go
It's Monday, day 74 on The Block. Yesterday, Kirsten and Jason delivered a kitchen and today is judgement day. They have until 7pm tonight to get the foyer done and get some of that cash. Either way, they are determined to start the day positively.
"What a beautiful morning, it was amazing. The sun coming up, the dolphins and the lightning and some yoga … and now we're back to the construction site."
Judging John McGrath is back to judge the rooms this week. He has again brought Fiona and Adam to help him decide. "I'm pretty impressed with it actually, it's modern and beachy." dialup

And the winner is… Tonight's body corporate meeting to announce the winner has everyone on tenterhooks as the completion of the foyer looms over everyone's head.
It comes as no surprise, however, that the winners this week are Richard and Steven, as they have certainly spent a bomb on the whiz-bang technology in their living room.
They try their hardest to drag the meeting out, but in the end Jamie Durie makes the call and they are lucky. The foyer is done and they get to keep $1500: dialup

Day 75 For Jason and Kirsten, it’s straight to work on the courtyard. This is what they want to work on sooner rather than later.
Day 77 When they are invited down to the beach for a sandcastle building challenge, they jump at it. They may not be very good at building them, but are lucky to draw the cheque for $2000. It is time then to sail off into the sunset for some fun: dialup
