How would you describe yourself?
Ambitious, driven, sometimes abrupt but always empathetic and genuine.
What are your personal strengths and weaknesses?
Strengths: Ambition, meticulous, open and enjoy listening.
Weaknesses: Too focused, abrupt, opinionated, strong convictions.
What is your most endearing trait?
Loyalty.
What is your most annoying habit, if any?
Sometimes overly opinionated.
What are your hobbies?
Skiing, sailing, building furniture, swimming.
What has been the biggest challenge in your life so far and how have you dealt with it?
Getting through med school. I've worked hard, made many sacrifices and been driven by my desire to be nothing else than a doctor.
What is the accomplishment you are most proud of?
Being successful within my medical training and convincing Jamie I'm a pretty nice guy.
What would be the craziest, wildest thing you would do for a lot of money?
Spend three months renovating a rundown dump while someone films me.
What would you not do for money?
Nudity (full frontal); eat a slug (and most other crazy things); sell myself out.
What made you enter The Block?
The chance to have fun and use someone else's money to do whatever we want with an apartment, but at the same time keeping our own lives … somewhat!
What makes you laugh?
Jamie and Capone, our pug. They always make me smile and perpetually make me laugh.
What skills do you bring to The Block?
Medical skills and hopefully some renovating skills
What unique quality will you bring to The Block?
I'm the youngest!
Why do you believe that you could be the winner of The Block?
We will be the underdogs and our competitive spirit and ambition would never allow us to fail.
What is your most treasured possession and why?
Jamie. I don't possess her, but without her everything is less fun and seems a lot harder.
Who is your hero and why?
My dad, because he is the exact father I would want to be.
Describe your perfect day?
Sleep in, walk along Balmoral beach with Jamie and Capone. Swim, then coffee and breakfast. Big barbecue lunch with my family, then dozing in front of a good flick.
What renovations have you done before?
Our old unit and a friend's house (three-bedroom).
Who was your favourite couple on The Block 1. Why?
Phil and Amity: they enjoyed themselves and came across as very genuine.
What do you love most about your partner?
She makes me want to achieve more; I feel that she is always thinking as I am.
Her ambition and self belief.
Her beauty and pride in her appearance.
Her caring warmth for me, her family and friends.
Her sense of humour.
How did you meet your partner?
She picked me up at a classy drinking establishment. I played hard to get.
How do you relax?
Swim in the ocean and then a cold beer.
How much money would you like to make from The Block?
Enough to ensure that we can buy our own property in Sydney and get off to a great start financially.
What would you do with the prize money?
House deposit and a holiday.
Do you want to be famous?
Not really, it doesn't bother me either way, as long as I have fun and everyone enjoys the show.
What's your favourite holiday destination?
Skiing anywhere.
If you weren't doing what you do now, what would you be doing?
I honestly can't see myself doing anything but medicine. So if I wasn't a medical student, I would be a doctor. That's the plan!
