Jamie and Andrew arrive at The Block in Manly on a stormy night. They have no idea what state the apartment is in, but are very eager to get inside and check it out.
Before Manly They were given 48 hours to get themselves sorted out, packed and over to Manly to start their adventure as the new tenants in apartment number two. They rent at the moment and buying their own home is fast becoming a dream for them. See them before they arrive at The Block: dialup

Welcome to your new home Andrew stumbles with the keys and very quickly hands them over to Jamie to open the door. Now they see the state of the apartment and pure shock hits them. "Oh my God, this can't be serious." It’s worse than they thought and they’ll need a bit of time to take it all in.
While they’ve dreamed of renovating, they have never actually done it. This could prove even more of a challenge for them, as they are already one week behind the other couples.

Two things are easing their stress at the moment. Firstly, they get to drive a RAV4, secondly, there is a bedroom completely renovated for them to sleep in. This is like gold. "I'm so much more comfortable knowing we've got this room."
They aren't in long before their first visitors, Jason and Kirsten, arrive to welcome them to their new home. They are soon followed by all the other couples and they spend the evening finding out what everyone has been up to and seeing their finished rooms.
First day The first thing they do this morning is work out all their financials and start a plan for the renovations. This is not as easy as it seems. As Jamie is off to work, Andrew is trying to get the place organised and to find someone to at least point them in the right direction.
After a lot of phone calls, going back and forth, they decide to start shopping at the paint store. Jamie isn't sure which colour to go with and Andrew forgets where he put the money: dialup

They couldn't have been made to feel more welcome by the other couples. First they hold a barbecue, then there’s a fun dinner out with the gang. They are feeling very positive about being here.
